TTC after Stillbirth
After I lost my son, Hunter, I wanted nothing more than to become pregnant. Here are products I used, why I used them and how they helped me!
First, I downloaded an app on my phone to become familiar with my cycle. I was almost obsessive in how many notes I’d take in a day or a week because I wanted to be as accurate as possible. Monitor your cervical mucous as well and do it religiously. Why? Because when you see the EWCM, you are likely to become pregnant.
*LH Test Strips*
I used these rather religiously. I used them once a day when possible and when I thought I was ovulating, I used them 2-4 times a day. I know it’s excessive but once you see the surge you know you will be ovulating if you didn’t already. It’s a great time for you to have sex to become pregnant.
These were helpful because not only did they give me hope when I seen a surge, but they gave me something to keep my mind focused on other than my loss. When you use these, you will feel a sense of control over the terrible situation
*Preseed Fertility Lubricant*
I used Preseed because I realized my body was not producing EWCM. I would definitely use this again as it was easy to use and once again, it helped me to get pregnant.
*Fertile CM Cervical Mucous Supplement*
I don’t know if this is what helped me get pregnant or not. What I do know is the first month I used this supplement, I became pregnant. I had tried everything else but the one thing I was missing was the EWCM. Did this do the trick? I’ll never know for sure. Should you try it if you are trying to become pregnant? Most definitely. I would use it again if I ever wanted to become pregnant so badly.
If you are trying to become pregnant after a loss, please try the three above products for atleast 2-3 months and hopefully you will have the same outcome as I had. I lost my son, Hunter in September (the 10th to be exact), and I became pregnant again in January. I used all 3 of the above products. I started to use the thermometer to get my basal body temperature but I would NOT recommend it unless you are the most organized woman on earth. Why? It is extremely hard to wake up every day, stay in the spot you’re in and take your temperature then write it down. Most of the days, I was already out of bed when I remembered to take my temperature. If you’re well organized and OCD, by all means, try it. However, in order for it to work you need to do it daily and religiously and it’s something that was too hard for me to do.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please feel free to leave them below in the comment section or send me an email. If any of these products worked for you, please share in the comments so other women who are trying to conceive can see these products do work. When you experience a loss such as stillbirth, it only makes sense to want to fill the huge void you have in your heart. I see so many women in forums trying so hard to become pregnant. Another huge thing that helped me was my Fitbit. Why? It took my mind off of trying to get pregnant and I was making sure I was eating healthy and I walked over 15,000 steps each and every day. I can’t wait to start walking so much again after I deliver my daughter. In the meantime, if you don’t have a Fitbit, it doesn’t ever hurt to get healthy! 🙂
